All my life I have loved creating things but never had the opportunity to get back to what I enjoyed most as a child – painting and drawing. Eventually freedom came with lockdown and I decided to pick up my art again.
I am a novice artist still finding my way and my only aim is to enjoy the process of creating art. It gives me a buzz every time I sell a piece. Knowing that someone likes it enough to hang in their home is a great compliment for any artist.I have only been painting and drawing for a few years so am still exploring mediums and techniques and I have no specific process to produce a painting. I start by drawing and sometimes use a source reference to determine light and dark within the piece.
Drawing is my favourite part of the process, the thing I most enjoy, and sometimes the painting bit never happens – I just develop the drawing into a finished piece.
I simply paint what takes my fancy in whatever medium I feel is appropriate.
