Liz Clarke

I am an acrylic and mixed media artist based in Marshside, Southport. I work from the peace and tranquillity of my home studio 'Cosy Rosie' situated at the bottom of my garden. My passion has always been with the arts. Along with my painting, I am actively involved with a local musical theatre company and regularly direct musicals in Southport.

I have sketched and painted all my life, but since taking early retirement in March 2023, I can now dedicate more time to my art.

I paint predominantly landscapes and seascapes. My style is semi-abstract leaning towards expressionism and impressionism rather than realism. I enjoy gathering inspiration during relaxing walks with my whippet Belle at the Marshside Nature Reserve or time spent at Mere Sands Woods and Formby Beach.

Since re-igniting my passion, I have exhibited at The Atkinson, Southport and Lydiate Art Fair where I have sold a number of my original paintings.
